I have the ability, skill and enthusiasm to undertake and/or assist in a range of different projects, whether they are required digitally, or away from the computer.

European Fishing

Furthermore to the beginning of attempts to control fishing and focus to a more sustainable attitude, the European Commission uploaded to their website a booklet containing data on the current situation, and partially their advice on what to change. The document also contains information relative to the UK, so I may want to extract these in particular, or compare them to other EU countries.

Hugh’s Fish Fight Celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall began a campaign to change the laws, regulations, and policies towards fisheries and fishing, after he describes the ‘mad’ EU laws at current in relation to the allowing of wasted fish in extremely low fish stocks, and that can be caused to the environment. A key fact that he wanted to present was that ‘HALF OF ALL FISH CAUGHT IN THE NORTH SEA ARE THROWN BACK… DEAD.’ - A powerful phrase that may work well in my animation (linked to UK Fishing Statistics) Shown on Channel 4 in early 2011, Hugh promoted his campaign by showing the current effects on fish stocks, within interviews from experts, and from celebrities (who have signed up to the petition, for which the general public can sign up to).
